Weightlifting is an essential form of exercise for functional strength, and a seminar is planning a visit to Lancaster to provide instruction to local lifters.
The Weightlifting for Beginners Seminar is scheduled to start in a few weeks, providing in-person instruction and guidance to Lancaster residents who want to gain knowledge and confidence with weightlifting and training. The seminar will spend the teaching session focusing on the clean lift, and guests will get the chance to use each of the taught positions for a safe and beneficial workout.
The class is geared toward helping beginners, though weightlifters of all levels are encouraged to attend. Students will learn the tips necessary to build strength, increase skill, and prevent injuries through instruction and practical experience. The session will begin with a focus on positions, before segueing into the knee-to-hip position. The last instruction will help attendees move weight to the catch/receiving position. The event’s last 30-minute segment will focus on live lifting and applying the techniques taught by the instructors. The seminar is designed to help attendees gain the confidence to use the tips at home or in their local gym.
