Lancaster catches the Grinch

A family friendly holiday special is to be held in Downtown Lancaster this December.

The event will feature a live re-enactment of the townspeople stopping the Grinch from stealing Christmas. The Grinch is a character from popular children’s author Dr. Seuss. His story follows the people of Whoville, as they prepare for the holiday season, which the Grinch hates. He then plots to steal Christmas, leaving the town with nothing to celebrate. For its portrayal at the event, the Whos of Whoville will be hiding and waiting to catch him, along with the Lancaster Police Department.

Those attending will have the chance to surround the Grinch and shower him with songs and love in an effort to change his ways. In addition to the Grinch and the Whos of Whoville, other special guests will include Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Rizzie the Elf. All attendees will have the opportunity to take pictures with these characters after the special. There will also be a host of fun activities, which include face-painting, and letter writing to the Grinch and Santa Claus.

The event is free to attend, and flyer printing can help to bolster support among residents for events such as this.

This event will take place on December 11 in Downtown Lancaster. This is located at 109 North Broad Street, Lancaster, Ohio. It begins at 1:00 pm and ends at 3:00 pm.
