Lancaster awaits pickleball competition

A sponsored pickleball tournament is visiting Lancaster next month, and players of all experience levels are invited to participate.

The First-Annual Lancaster-Sherman Rotary Pickleball Tournament is scheduled to begin in a few weeks, bringing pickleball players from the local area together for a fun day of competition on the courts. The tournament hopes to create a fun and friendly atmosphere for pickleball players to demonstrate their skills and knowledge. Attendees will meet other players from the area and see how they stack up against new competitors.

Double Edge Brewing Company will play host for the tournament, which will be played outdoors. Attendees and competitors are encouraged to dress for the weather to remain comfortable for the eight-hour competition. Players are required to bring their paddles to participate in the games. Flyer printing is seen as a fantastic way to spread the word around town to generate interest, gain crowds, and find more players for sporting events like this.

Interested parties must determine their skill levels to ensure a fun day and fair competition. Advanced players are invited to register as 4.0+ players, while beginners should register as 3.0 players for the ideal experience.

The tournament is planned for Saturday, April 27, beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. Attendees and players are encouraged to bring food and refreshments. Interested players can reserve a spot online after paying a $30 registration fee.
