Boardman Park will be holding two special activities for pre-schoolers at the Maag Outdoor Arts Theatre.
Preschoolers in the Park is a summer program where parents can bring their children to the park for fun and educational activities. The theme for July’s session will be Over in the Ocean, and the theme for August’s program will be Roadwork. Both events will feature a sing-a-long session, story time, crafts project, and complimentary wagon rides through Boardman Park. The Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will help organize the event.
Boardman Park is a public facility that was founded in 1974. The outdoor space offers many activities, including corn hole, hayrides, a disc golf course, and four miles of trails. People can also play sports such as baseball, volleyball, and tennis at the park. There are multiple indoor venues at the park that guests can book for personal gatherings and events, like the Elton Beard Cabin, Georgeanna Parker Activity Center, and Boardman Rotary Room.
The programs for pre-schoolers will be held on Wednesday, July 6 and Wednesday, August 3 from 10:30 am to noon. Both activities will not cost any money for attendees, and reservations are not necessary for participation. Organizations that plan events for children can use poster printing to make ads to place at venues such as schools, recreation centers, or libraries.
