Boardman to hold digital fundraiser

The 2020 Boardman Virtual Funwalk will be held this June to help provide funding to the Scleroderma Foundation.

The event is part of the Scleroderma Foundation's Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma series. The fundraising activity hopes to get people active from the safety of their own homes, while also spreading awareness and support for those impacted by the disease. The event has already surpassed its original goal of raising $10,000, with organizers hoping to reach the new milestone of $25,000 by June 6th.

The Scleroderma Foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission of helping people affected by scleroderma by researching potential cures for the disease. The organization’s national office can be found in Greater Boston, though the foundation has 170 support groups located throughout the United States. Charitable foundations like this can utilize brochure printing to design and make pamphlets that educate people on the disease.

The 2020 Boardman Virtual Funwalk will be held on June 6th from 8:30 am to noon. Registration for the fundraising event will be $20 per person. Team captains who raise more than $100 for the Scleroderma Foundation will be entered to win a Deluxe Ohio Conference Package. The trip to Ohio will include a two-night stay at the conference hotel and two tickets to the event’s gala. Meals will also be included in the conference package.
