Boardman Primanti Bros. opens with exciting promotion

A Primanti restaurant opened in Boardman, in the midst of much fanfare, on September 18 with its opening promotion garnering a lot of publicity.

As per usual, the first 100 people to enter the new Primanti Bros. restaurant received coupons that entitled them to a free sandwich each week for 52 weeks, which guaranteed a crowd when the doors opened. Many of those outside the new establishment had been waiting for more than 12 hours for the chance of a year’s supply of the restaurant’s famous sandwiches. Among the sandwiches available is Primanti’s signature sandwich – the classic Primanti that comes stuffed with fries and coleslaw.

With Primanti’s large bar space and multiple TVs, the tailgate type atmosphere leading up to the opening was certainly appropriate. The company is anticipating doing an especially hardy business during football season. As Mike Purpura, Primanti’s operational director pointed out, Boardman’s location means the crowds will be pretty much equally divided between Steeler fans and Browns fans.

With two different sets of fans to draw on during football season, the restaurant will have numerous opportunities to attract a crowd, especially with a little promotional work and the help of a banner printing service.

The Boardman Primanti Brothers is the first to open in Ohio, and joins its 17 restaurants in the greater Pittsburgh area and 3 Florida locations.
