Boardman residents interested in roleplaying games can watch a few educational programs in March offered by The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County.
Game-Master Class: Basic Gameplay is an online presentation where viewers can become more familiar with concepts in tabletop roleplaying experiences. The course is designed for beginners, allowing those new to roleplaying games to learn about significant topics in the genre. The class will also help newcomers understand how to properly manage their game sessions and confidently start fresh roleplaying campaigns.
The library will be hosting two roleplaying sessions to help those with no experience play smaller sized campaigns with knowledgeable players. Each session will last about an hour and will be held over a Zoom call. The group also welcomes those with roleplaying experience but without the time to commit to longer-running sessions. Organizations hosting group meetups such as this can advertise the program using printing services.
The course for game-masters will be held on Thursday, March 4 and Saturday, March 6 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The program is free, though all viewers must register in advance. The One Page RPGs session will be held on Monday, March 15 and Saturday, March 20 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. No fee is necessary to register for the event. Each session will only have up to six participants.
