The Three Sheep Gallery and Workshop will organize a weaving retreat in Boardman.
The Saori Inspired Weaving Retreat is a multi-day crafting activity where guests can use the looms provided by the Three Sheep Gallery and Workshop to make custom wraps. Attendees may also explore different weaving techniques during their visit. Each day of the retreat will include seven hours of studio time, lunch, tea, and snacks. Businesses offering art lessons such as this can use poster printing to raise awareness for future classes.
The Three Sheep Gallery and Workshop is a venue operated by Linda Shevel where people can be creative and share their talents with others. Shevel has trained in Saori weaving, which is a style that does not follow patterns, rules, or constraints. She creates pieces to use at home, to wear, and for fun. Several activities are hosted at the gallery, including wet felting workshops, holiday gift wrapping sessions, and creating Christmas ornaments such as needle-felted penguins.
The first weaving retreat of the year will be held from Monday, February 21 to Wednesday, February 23. Each session will last from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and costs $150 per person per day. Guests must pay extra for their materials. There will also be an identical weaving retreat held in April and June for those who are unable to attend February’s event.
