A community event will be held at Boardman Township Park in October where visitors can browse crafts vendors.
The 45th Annual Boardman Rotary Oktoberfest is an outdoor expo where merchants from five states come together to share their wares with the community. All dealers at the event are asked to sell handmade products, and no flea market materials will be sold during the fest. Free parking for the occasion will be available for visitors. Those who park in the limited offsite lot will receive a complimentary shuttle ride to and from the event venue.
The Boardman Rotary Oktoberfest started in 1976 as a way of promoting the town and residents in the community. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting local causes in the area. Several types of spaces can be purchased by businesses that plan on attending the festival, including Non-Profit, Food Concession, and Arts & Crafts spaces. The cost of stalls ranges from $100 to $500. Merchants going to events like this may use banner printing to help consumers notice their booths.
The community expo will take place on Sunday, October 3 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The cost to enter the festival will be $5 per person. Children who are 11 and younger may attend the event for free. Handicap parking for the fest can be found through the Southern Blvd. entrance.
