Boardman residents can attend a virtual program in June to learn about becoming a positive force from a kindness activist.
The Art of Connecting with Megan Murphy is an event where viewers are taught how to better their community through positivity. Murphy is the creator of The Kindness Rocks Project and is a life coach certified by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. The presentation will teach people about connecting with themselves and building deep relationships with others. The broadcast will be hosted by the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County.
The Kindness Rocks Project is a program aiming to cultivate connections in communities and spread joy through simple acts of kindness. The organization has also hosted workshops at the Starbucks Annual Corporate Meeting and ESPN Virtual Event. The activities include three ice-breaking games, an inspirational handout, and a 15-minute call with Megan Murphy. Groups such as this can advertise their special events using poster printing services.
The broadcast will occur on Tuesday, June 22 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and will be free for people to join. Guests are required to register in advance to receive a link to the Zoom room for the call. The program will be intended for adults. Companies interested in The Kindness Rocks Project can pay $500 to host a workshop at their events.
