Veterans’ Outreach will be hosting a friendly bowling competition in April at Camelot Lanes in Boardman.
The Stars and Strikes Bowling Tournament to Benefit Veterans is a charitable activity where teams of four bowlers can compete for awards while raising money for veteran services. Those who participate in the tourney will receive three games of bowling, shoe rentals, and a buffet with salad and pizza. Guests are also encouraged to participate in the event’s live basket raffle. There will be a bowling division designated for men and a category for co-ed teams.
Veterans’ Outreach is a non-profit formed in 1994 to provide veterans with a safe space that assists them with needs like vehicle repairs, housing, and paying for utilities. The organization provides immediate relief to vets who need assistance. The group has created several programs for veterans, including the Freedom Food Pantry Program, Heroes’ Closet Program, and Direct Aid Program. The non-profit also hosts events like the 7th Annual Golf Scramble.
The bowling tournament will be on Sunday, April 23 from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. There are two different starting times that participants can choose from. The bowlers are encouraged to come up with team names for the tourney. Those interested in attending the event can pay $200. Non-profit groups that organize fundraisers like this may use flyer printing to share their main causes and events with others.
