Boardman 5K to fight Neurofibromatosis

The non-profit #NFStrong will return to Boardman in October to hold a fundraiser that benefits members of the NF community.

The #NFStrong 5K for Neurofibromatosis is a hybrid walk/run where people can support those with the condition by rallying together and raising money. The event will be held at the Masters Pavilion in Boardman Park. Those who donate to the 5K will help the organizers find treatments and potential cures for Neurofibromatosis. More than $320m has been raised by #NFStrong since the charitable organization formed in 1996.

Businesses can contribute to the 5K’s fundraiser by becoming event sponsors. There are several packages available, such as the $250 Mile Marker Sponsor tier and the $500 Hometown Sponsor. Companies that purchase sponsorships will receive benefits like shoutouts on social media, their logos featured on the fundraiser’s signage, and free T-Shirts. People in charge of charitable events similar to this may honor sponsoring stores by using banner printing to showcase their logos.

The 5K will take place on Saturday, October 8 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. The cost to attend #NFStrong’s event is $20 for adults and $12 for children aged 4-11. People may also participate in the virtual version of the activity for $10. Those who agree to attend the in-person 5K will assume responsibility for all COVID-related risks. Participants can purchase T-Shirts when registering.
