Orion’s Realm in Boardman will host a wire wrapping class for beginners in February.
Copper Wrap 1 with Kelly Young is a workshop where people can learn how to use wire wrapping techniques to create their own jewelry. Young is an instructor from Twisted Crystals who can answer any questions participants have about the process during the lesson. She will use hands-on teaching methods to help students make a pendant by the end of the course. Each attendee will be given copper wires, a cabochon, and the necessary tools for completing the project.
Orion’s Realm is a specialty goods store that sells crystals, fossils, and bundles of sage. The business was founded by Shannon Robinson, a woman who wishes to help others find peace in their lives. Many speakers visit the shop to offer lessons, such as Tom Calhoun, Daron Royal, and Rob Villanueva. Robinson can also be booked for one-on-one coaching sessions where she gives advice on how clients can make positive changes to their lives.
The wire wrapping workshop will be held on Monday, February 6 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Tickets to the course will cost $35 per person. Young will also be offering an advanced version of the class on February 20 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Those who arrange art lessons like this may use poster printing to let others know about the events in advance.
