Soccer tournament kicks off tomorrow

This weekend, soccer fans will have the opportunity to play in a tournament for a great cause.

The Michael Magro Foundation will be hosting its annual soccer tournament to raise funds for children afflicted with cancer. The event will feature teams of seven facing off against each other in a tournament. Participants will receive T-Shirts to showcase their role, and there will also be live music and other entertainment to make sure everyone is having fun, even in between matches.

The Michael Magro Foundation is named after a student from Hicksville, New York who passed away at the age of 13 from leukemia. The foundation is a non-profit that was formed in 2005 following his death with the intention of improving the lives of children suffering from cancer. The foundation raises funds primarily for the Cancer Center at the Winthrop-University Hospital. It also provides a sports scholarship and an academic scholarship to Hicksville students.

Organizers for this event may turn to printing companies to create advertising materials like Posters or Flyers that will draw in more teams to the tournament. Additionally, they might want items like informational Brochures to provide participants with more information about the foundation's work.

The soccer tournament will take place tomorrow, August 2, starting at 9:00 am at the Kevin Kolm Field. There is a $500 entry fee per team.
