Once Upon a Treetop, a child's pre-school activity center in Plainview, about three miles from Hicksville, New York, has announced a new class called “Character Craze.” The class is part of the “Mommy and Me” weekly classes held at the center.
The new class gives children a chance to learn about characters from their favorite shows such as Sesame Street, Jack and the Neverland Pirates, and PAW Patrol. There won't be anyone dressing up as the characters; instead, they will be explored through songs and stories, dressing up, edible treats, crafts, even pajama parties. Among the fictional characters to be considered are the dogs from PAW Patrol, Daniel Tiger, Cookie Monster and Elmo from Sesame Street, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, and the Jake and the Neverland Pirates characters.
Once Upon a Treetop conducts structured activities that help kids get ready for the classroom experience. The class is aimed toward children ages 15-36 months, and is held from 9.45 to 10.30 am on Tuesdays. The Character Craze begins January 31, 2017 and continues for seven weeks, meeting February 7, 14, and 28; March 7, 14, and 21, with a make-up day, if needed, March 28. The course is $175.00, and interested parties can call to register.
Events like this can benefit if organizers work with postcard printing companies, which can create cards for area-wide mailings.
