Patrizia’s, a chain of Italian restaurants that boasts five locations in New York City and one in New Jersey, in Red Bank, has opened its first Long Island spot, on South Broadway in Hicksville.
The diner has moved into the former DeBello’s Restaurant and Bar, which is in the Planet Fitness shopping center. DeBello’s was the second tenant in the space; the first was Pizza Fabbrica, which eventually called itself Pizza Fab.
Patrizia’s has acquired the fixtures and fittings, including three wood-burning pizza ovens Pizza Fabbrica originally imported from Italy when it opened in December, 2013. The ovens are still in use, and in fact there has been little change in the décor.
The eatery serves 18 pizzas all day, and approximately a dozen sandwiches (called panuozzi and baked in the oven) are available until 6:00 pm. Also on the menu are traditional Italian items such as a seafood salad, grilled baby octopus, stuffed Portobello mushrooms, clams oreganata, and eggplant rollatini.
Pasta is not neglected either—Patrizia’s offers such dishes as baked manicotti, orecchiette with broccoli and sausage, as well as chops, steaks, fillets, and a few seafood dishes.
Companies like these can benefit by working with flyer printing companies, which can create mailers and handouts to let potential customers know new locations are opening. Adding coupons to the mailers may create increased traffic to the stores.
