Food-themed fundraiser coming to Hicksville area

The Taste of Hope is coming to the Hicksville area soon, giving attendees the chance to win auctions, raffles, and more, as they raise money for the benefit of CN Guidance & Counseling Services. Hicksville residents might be among those making the short trip to attend.

The Taste of Hope is a fun event, when some of the best restaurants on Long Island provide tastes of their menu items, with beers and wines to accompany them. This year, the event honors the President Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature, DuWayne Gregory; and Northwell Health/Zucker School of Medicine’s Sandeep Kapoor, MD, MS-HPPL.

The special guest for the evening is Chef Lisa-Ann Marchica Marchesi, who was a semi-finalist on ‘MasterChef’. She has also appeared on ‘The Taste’ on ABC, and with Dr. Oz.

Culinary creations will come from many providers including Cabo RVC, and Piccola Bussola, while beverages will be provided by Bai and Sixpoint Brewery, among others. Organizers of events like this could use banner printing to create decorations for the venue.

CN Guidance and Counseling Services works with approximately 7,000 residents of Long Island each year, helping families, adults, and children who are living with substance abuse and mental health disorders.

The benefit is scheduled from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm on October 24, at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, which is located on the campus of the New York institute of Technology in Old Westbury.
