Latin dance festival adds brand new features
Latin dance is the culture being celebrated at an upcoming festival near Sparks.
Latin Dance Festival organizers and hosts BB and Kiki have announced details of the 2026 Reno Latin Dance Fest. Known for its blend of teaching, performance, and social dance in a four-day event that draws national and international attendees, this year’s festival will be its eighteenth iteration.
The Reno Latin Dance Fest also has a long-time reputation as a beginner-friendly event that also includes advanced training for dancers and directors. Printing services are often enlisted to set up themed events like this.
The festival adds a number of new competitive elements for this year, including the G’ozalo Dance Championship as well as a Partner Dance Battle where teams of two compete. It will also offer a Jack and Jill event with beginner, intermediate, and Rising Stars categories for bachata, salsa, and cumbia. Other dance genres to expect include mambo, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and heels.
Participants can follow the festival’s progress on their website as well as through an email newsletter. Discounts for online registration are available until January 7, when the regular price and in-person transfer fees will go into effect. All sales are final, and pass name changes are permitted without charge until the same deadline.
The 2026 Reno Latin Dance Fest is set to take place January 8 to 12, 2026 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino near Sparks.
