Las Vegas will be the site of numerous St. Patrick’s Day activities, including an upcoming shindig at New York-New York Hotel & Casino.
The hotel will host the three-day Celtic Feis celebration featuring parades, authentic Irish entertainment, food, and fun. New York-New York replicates some of Manhattan’s iconic structures at about one-third their actual size. Thus, the Las Vegas “Empire State Building” is 529 feet tall, while the real structure towers 1,454 feet. Among the other icons that have been copied are the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.
The fun kicks off on the first day with an Irish Pipe Band heading a parade that begins at Bliss Dance at The Park, meanders through the casino, and ends at the Brooklyn Bridge, where other Celtic Feis activities are planned. The parade is open to everyone, at no charge.
After the opening ceremonies, the Brooklyn Bridge will be the spot to be to take part in the Celtic Feis celebration, which welcomes guests with tickets. The fee is $10, and admission is limited to those 21 and over. People can expect authentic Irish bands, sightings of leprechauns, and stilt walkers, as well as cocktails, Irish bites provided by Nine Fine Irishmen, and live entertainment.
The three-day festival is scheduled for March 17-19. The parade and opening festivities at Brooklyn Bridge begin at 10.00 am on the 17th. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create signage indicating the parade route.
