Pharmacists to meet in Vegas

An upcoming Las Vegas convention will bring professional pharmacists together to share ideas, network with peers, and learn the latest developments in the field.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting is the premier gathering for pharmacists handling patient care in all settings, including pharmacies, ambulatory clinics, and hospitals. The Society has more than 60,000 members and supports innovative practices in pharmacy operations, and professional and educational development.

The conference will offer opportunities for participants to earn continuing education credits. In addition, attendees will have a chance to engage in roundtables, poster sessions, and educational programming.

For those who are considering a career modification, the conference is a chance to meet recruiters and industry leaders, future colleagues, and trailblazers. The agenda includes sessions with subjects such as “Programming for Small and Rural Hospitals,” and a night out for students.

Special guest speakers include Caitlin Clark, and Dr. Abraham Verghese. Clark is a professional basketball player who was named Rookie of the Year in 2024, 2024 First Team All WNBA, and two-time WNBA All Star in 2024 and 2025.

Dr. Verghese is a physician with the Stanford Medical School, and is the author of four bestsellers – two novels and two memoirs. He is a co-host of “Medicine and the Machine,” a podcast heard on the Medscape website.

The conference is scheduled for Saturday, December 6 through Wednesday, December 10 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Events like this offer an opportunity for experts to make their Business Cards available.
