Pageant queen to run for Congress

A former Miss Nevada United States and business owner in Las Vegas, Lisa Song Sutton, recently announced she will be running for the fourth Congressional District in Nevada.

Sutton made her decision after she opened a shipping business, Ship Las Vegas, near Nellis Air Force Base in a neighborhood where she saw residents very much in need of basic services. Sutton said that many great things are happening in this country and in other areas of Las Vegas, but this area has no grocery store or facilities for the veterans in the area.

She added that politics and pageantry are very much related as long as one enters politics in order to better serve and represent one’s community. Flyer printing can be used to promote such ideas and to help with fundraising efforts.

Sutton has a political science degree from the University of Arizona and was an intern in 2005 for Senator John McCain. He duties included handling office visits or calls from citizens in the community who were concerned about the needs of others and sending them to the government agencies or non-profits which could help with these issues. In her pageant life, she travelled throughout the state speaking to those in need as part of many charity and public organizations.
