New active living community goes up in Las Vegas

Construction on Heritage at Stonebridge for those 55 years of age and older is currently underway in Las Vegas.

The home builder, Lennar Corp., is working on 20 new houses as eight are currently opened as models for viewing. The community is guarded with a gate and has rock-lined retaining walls. There will be a total of 421 houses when completed, with terraced lots and RV-garage styles. Amenities will include two pools, a clubhouse, pickleball and bocce ball courts, a recreation center built on a plateau offering views of the valley, and other outdoor recreational facilities. More details about such homes and their features can be outlined in brochure printing.

Spokesperson from Lennar, Aaron Curtiss, expects this new development to attract local people, as well as those from other areas as southern Nevada, has long been a popular place for retirees, offering activities such as golf, no state income taxes, and relatively affordable housing costs.

Las Vegas division president for Lennar, Joy Broddle, said prices for the homes will start in the range of $400,000. President of Home Builders Research based in Las Vegas, Andrew Smith, said comparable communities in the area have prices in the $600,000 to $700,000 range. Lennar has built other such communities across the country and this one will be the developer’s second one in the area.
