Last phase of major highway project underway

The final phase of the Centennial Bowl interchange project is currently under construction in the northwest valley of Las Vegas.

This phase, which will cost $155m, is at the meeting of the 215 Beltway and US Highway 95. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) said that it will entail the building out the last three ramps that are part of the system-to-system interchange, the construction of which began in 2015. Kristina Swallow, director of the NDOT, said that mobility, traffic, and motorist safety will be enhanced with this new interchange and will also establish a new gateway for the Centennial area.

When completed, the Centennial Bowl interchange project will be one of the largest interchanges in the state, with a total of 20 bridges over three decks and the second longest bridge in the state. It will also have a new multiuse recreational trail along the northside of the 215 Beltway with several miles of new sidewalks and bike lanes. Print shops can create materials to outline the many benefits of such projects for not only drivers, but those interested in the more recreational aspects of such projects.

The project is expected to be completed in early 2024 and will mark the conclusion of the project, which cost a total of close to $300m and took nine years to complete.
