Las Vegas theater to undergo restoration

Dapper Companies has purchased the Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas with plans to renovate it over the next three years.

J Dapper, founder of Dapper Companies, spent $4 million to purchase the property which has been closed for over 15 years. He said the building has been inspected, is structurally sound, and its condition is better than was expected.

Dapper plans to spend close to $10 million to renovate the theater and the between $5 and $8 million to refurbish the retail space next to the theatre. The theater is at the southeast corner of Maryland Parkway and Charleston Boulevard. Developers often turn to banner printing to inform the community of such plans for renovations.

Olivia Diaz, a councilwoman from Las Vegas whose district includes the theater, said that her constituents are reacting positively to the news. She added that it has been a very long process to return the theater to the community. Diaz said she was born and raised in the area and when she was 18, she saw a production from Mexico and was able to meet the artists after the show.

Help with the sale of the theater to Dapper was made possible by the approval of a plan by the Las Vegas City Council in 2019. Dapper has other real estate holdings in the city including the Huntridge Shopping Center which is across the street from Maryland Parkway.
