An industry conference is coming up that will allow people working with Global Business Services (GBS) and shared services to network and learn what’s new in the field.
The Shared Services & Outsourcing Week (SSOW) will feature interactive discussion groups and sessions led by executives from various industries. These experts will discuss digital transformation, diversity and inclusion, the future of GBS, and more.
Shared services occur when one department or other section of organization provides services to the entire company, when before those services were provided by other departments throughout the company. The prime example of this is human resources, which oversees employer/employee relations and other issues for the whole company rather than having each department manage these concerns.
Attendees at the conference will have a chance to attend educational, hands-on workshops exploring subjects such as employee wellness, how to plan and launch an SSC, and more. The exhibit floor, aka the Innovation HUB, will offer solution providers the space to display their products and services.
As many as 20 CPE credits will be awarded by SHRM and NASBA. Professional GBS Certifications will be offered as well. SSOW will partner with Inixia to offer a full day of training that includes GBS skills and offers standardized models, proven methods, and key strategies.
The SSOW conference week is September 11 through 14, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. Organizers of sizeable events like this can use flyer printing to create handouts with the meeting agenda.
