Guitar wizard to appear in Vegas

A master of the acoustic guitar will appear soon in Las Vegas.

Claude Bourbon was born in France but is now based in the UK. At any given concert, he might play R&B, a straight blues number, or his own mix of stylings that could include New Orleans jazz, American roots music, flamenco, and Middle Eastern. Bourbon moves among all the disparate styles smoothly.

Bourbon is famous for his incredible finger-work, as he uses all five digits on both hands, playing so quickly and so precisely that his hands seem to blur. His talent has won him legions of fans who have come to hear him repeatedly.

His playing style is fluid and free of tension, but still unusual, taking listeners to places that are both uncommon and comfortable. Even playing covers of standards like “St. James Infirmary Blues,” Bourbon adds his own twist.

He has played for students and for residents of group living homes, as well as working with musicians like Herbie Armstrong, and Charlie Morgan, who has worked with Elton John. He has appeared at festivals such as the Isle of Wight Festival, the Glastonbury Festival, and more.

A review says:

“A breathtaking acoustic fusion of blues, jazz, folk, classical and Spanish guitar from a stunning guitar virtuoso…”

Claude Bourbon will appear at the Sahara West Public Library on June 6. Publicity for events like this is often created by event organizers using poster printing.
