Conference for medical professionals in Las Vegas

A conference is coming up for professionals in a somewhat unusual niche in medical practice.

The Medical Spa Show 2025 has been organized by the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) and will be held at the Wynn Las Vegas. The show is for those working in medical aesthetics and medical spas.

Medical aesthetics is defined as a variety of minimally invasive, or completely non-invasive, procedures performed by licensed professionals for cosmetic reasons. Among the treatments are targeted fat loss, management of acne scars, hair transplant, immune boosting, body contouring, chemical peels, and Botox injections.

Medical spas are defined by AmSpa as a combination of a day spa and an aesthetic medical center. There are four basic elements to such a facility: it performs non-invasive medical services for aesthetic purposes; the facility is supervised by a licensed physician; all practitioners at the facility are qualified, experienced, and well-trained; and a licensed healthcare professional is onsite to provide supervision.

According to a recent new article, medical spas are becoming increasingly popular, and the trend is not showing Signs of slowing. The increase in these treatments reflects growing acceptance of aesthetic medical treatments, as well as changing demographics of the population who might opt for medical spa treatments.
