Fans of craft beers recently had an opportunity enjoy some offerings from all over the world, as well as closer to home.

The Great Beer Expo, which took place at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, showcased 150 different brews produced by 70 breweries from around the globe, including some locally produced favorites.

Along with the samples of beers, stouts, ales, and more, there were workshops that centered on topics like choosing beer and food pairings, tips on how to enjoy the products of independent brewers, and the latest trends on the beer scene in New Jersey.

Those who wanted to attend could choose between either the afternoon or evening session, with the ticket price for both set at $45.This entitled the holder to receive a special tasting cup, entrance into all of the seminars, and two-ounce samples of all of the offerings that were available. Custom Drinkware such as this can be specially designed for both large and small events.

There were also tickets available at a price of $10 for those who had chosen to attend the event as a designated driver.

Along with being dedicated to all things beer, the expo raised money for Kids Need More, which is a not-for-profit organization that raises money to help provide recreational opportunities for children with major illnesses and their families.
