Project Bundle Up is the initiative of the Hamilton Township Democratic Club. Eileen Thornton, Club President, said in a statement:
“[The HTDC] is more than politics; it is about helping our community. Community service is important to our members as we are involved with helping people and making their lives better.”
People are asked to donate coats, scarves, sweaters, hats, and gloves that are in a good, clean condition. All sizes are required, male and female, and also children and infant sizes. The items will then be passed to a local nonprofit, HomeFront, which is committed to helping families and individuals, whether homeless or not, and fighting poverty and hardship.
JoAnn Bruno, a retired teacher and club secretary, describes how the Hamilton Township Democratic Club would like to build on the initiative, offering assistance to people in the area who have fallen upon difficult times.
The project’s organisers may use eye-catching Flyers to make people aware of the seven locations across the Hamilton district that are supporting Project Bundle Up and are offering their services as drop-off points for public donations.
