A temporary hiring center has recently been opened by Walmart for its new outlet which will be located within The Court at Hamilton shopping center.
The shopping center, which was once the Suburban Plaza, is scheduled to open in the fall. Walmart plans to hire about 300 people for the store, which will be 160,000 square feet in size and include a garden center and grocery department.
The hiring center is on Nottingham Way and applications are being accepted there from 8:00am to 7:00pm during the weekdays; on Saturdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm; and on Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Most likely Walmart hired a local printing company to Print the applications.
According to A.J. Riaz, manager for the store, positions of both a full-time and part-time nature are available. He added that there are many opportunities for professional growth in the company. Last year, for example, he said that 4,300 employees in the state were promoted to jobs with more responsibility and higher pay. In addition, over 1,900 employees went from part-time to full-time positions, thus increasing their salary.
Those who are hired at this time will be preparing the store for its grand opening. Walmart also has a program that offers a job to any United States veteran who was honorably discharged from active duty.
