The school district of Hamilton recently announced that Steven Bollar has been selected as the new assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
Professional services like flyer printing are most likely being used to inform the community of his appointment and to generate enthusiasm for when he starts this position over this summer.
Bollar’s role will be to oversee the lessons and materials taught in the classroom, prepare the district for new standardized testing, and create professional development programs for teachers.
Previously, he was the principal at the Hartford School in Mount Laurel, which has 900 fifth- and sixth-grade students. He has also been the principal and assistant principal in the Willingboro and Gloucester school districts respectively, as well as a visual arts teacher in Lawrence.
He has also been a motivational speaker, visiting school districts, colleges, and other organizations to deliver keynote addresses, as well as to lead workshops and training seminars.
According to James Parla, Superintendent for the Hamilton schools, it was felt that Bollar was the right person for the job based on his strong interviews and reference Checks,.
