Hamilton wellness center to offer resiliency training

The Hamilton YMCA John K. Rafferty Branch will be hosting a lesson in June led by two representatives from Penn Medicine Princeton Health.

Resiliency Training & Tools for Living a Better Life is an in-person workshop where people can learn how to strengthen different types of resilience, such as physical and emotional resilience. The interactive training session will teach students valuable strategies for improving their resilience, such as mindfulness, goal-setting techniques, and exercise. The goal of the lesson is to help attendees decrease their stress while improving their quality of life.

The instructors for the workshop will be Debbie Millar and Craig Harley. Millar is the director of community education and outreach for the Princeton Healthcare System. She also worked as the head nurse at Princeton Nassau Pediatrics for five years. Harley is Penn Medicine Princeton Health’s associate director of community wellness and engagement. He previously served 15 years as a senior ranger for the Plainsboro Township.

The informative workshop on resiliency training will take place on Wednesday, June 21 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no cost to take part in Millar’s and Harley’s lesson, though guests must receive their spots in advance.
