The RUTGERS Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation will be offering a course in Hamilton for law enforcement officials.
The Drone Certification & Crash Reconstruction Course is a five-day program where students can learn the needed skills for becoming a Public Safety Unmanned Aircraft System Operator. The classes will be held at the AAA Mid-Atlantic. Many subjects are covered in the program, such as aviation weather, crew resource management, remote pilot operational limitations, and aeronautic decision-making. The presenters for the class include Andrew Klane, Mark DiCocco, and Ronald G. Leach Jr.
There are several prerequisites for taking the program. Students must be full-time employees of a law enforcement agency and have staff members who are Fatal Crash Investigators. The participants should also have a drone program established and own an i7 to i9 laptop computer. Students are asked to complete a drone questionnaire before attending the course and register with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Integrated Airman Certification & Rating Application.
The drone certification program will be held from June 5 to June 9, and each class will take place from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The course is free for law enforcement officials and those who work for traffic safety organizations. Educators who are in charge of similar programs may use brochure printing to make informative pamphlets for those who participate in their classes.
