Hamilton to host Walk MS fundraising event

This April, The National MS Society will be hosting a walk to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis in Hamilton, New Jersey.

Walk MS is a community event that invites everyone to participate in a walk to collect funds towards ending Multiple Sclerosis (MS) forever, all while raising awareness towards the disease. There will be both one-mile and three-mile routes available for those who are interested in walking with the rest of the attendees. The walks will also be accessible for people who are in wheelchairs, canes, and power chairs.

Each person who participates in the fundraiser has an opportunity to receive a shirt with a custom graphic design showing that they raised over a certain amount of money towards combating MS. Anyone who can raise over $100 will be given a Walk MS T-shirt, though all fundraising commitments are appreciated. Walk MS has made over $1bn towards ending MS with the help of about 300,000 people per year.

The MS Walk 2019 event will be held on April 28 and will start at 10:00 am. Registration for the fundraiser will close at noon on Thursday, April 25. All ages are encouraged to join, and registration is free to all guests. Donations towards fighting MS can be made either on the National MS Society’s webpage or during the event. The walk will begin at Veterans Park.
