Hamilton to host new Oktoberfest

A two-day Oktoberfest, combining the Fall Harvest and Septemberfest, will be combined into one weekend in October in Hamilton.

To be held at Veterans Park, the festivities will begin on the first day at 3:00 p.m. with musicians The Heartbeats, presenting a special concert. Following the concert, there will be activities for kids and food vendors, with fireworks in the evening.

The next day’s festivities will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will feature music with a fall theme, crafters and more food vendors, a pumpkin patch and corn maze, and hayrides. No alcoholic beverages will be served over the two-day period.

Kelly Yaede, Mayor of Hamilton, said that this new event combines the best of the former two festivals, the Fall Harvest and Septemberfest, and should be exciting for the entire town. This will be a new tradition and the mayor hopes that the community will help get it off to a good start.

According to town officials, the two events typically took place within weeks of each, so it was decided that it was time to make some changes and combine the celebrations. They may consider using a local Print company to create a mailer that can be sent to residents informing them of the change so as to generate as much enthusiasm and participation in the event from the community.

The two-day Oktoberfest will take place on October 1 and 2.
