The community of Hamilton, New Jersey will be joining together to raise funds towards hunger relief programs at the Soles for the Harvest 5K event this November.
Every year, Hamilton hosts the event to donate money towards alleviating hunger throughout New Jersey. This will be the 7th annual racing event held in the city. Those who register for the race can become online fundraisers, which will allow participants to accept donations for a hunger-fighting charity of their choice. People who plan on coming to the event can also bring canned goods to help out a local pantry.
Businesses can also get involved and donate towards combating hunger. The Soles for the Harvest 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, November 2, at Veterans Park. The Fun Run will begin at 8:45 am, and the 5K race will start at 9:30 am. Anybody who would like to register can pay $15 for the Fun Run and $25 for the 5K before October 31.
