Hamilton to hold wildlife photo shoot class

The Friends For The Abbott Marshlands will be organizing a photography lesson in November at Roebling Memorial Park in Hamilton.

Those interested in improving their wildlife photography abilities can attend a course offered by Susan Matson. The Wildlife Photography Ramble will teach photographers the best strategies for snapping planned and unplanned shots of wildlife. The course will be training students for the upcoming 2022 Voices for the Marsh Photography Show. During the lesson, attendees can potentially encounter animals such as winter ducks, geese, and swans.

Susan Matson is an experienced teacher whose pictures have appeared in Print journalism and environmental activism materials. One group that used her photos was the Alliance for Sustainable Communities. Matson enjoys the birds found at the marsh during the fall and winter seasons. As she leads the lesson, Matson will be holding multiple Q&A sessions to help students learn while in the field. The photography activity will be held on Saturday, November 20th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Registration for the program will open on November 1st at midnight. All students are expected to have a basic understanding of their camera’s functions. The course will go at a casual pace with frequent stops. The rain date for the lesson is Sunday, November 21st.
