Hamilton to hold Vets N Pets event

Anyone can attend the Vets N Pets event at Veterans Park this November in Hamilton to show support towards local vets and animal rescues.

Vets N Pets is a charitable event where the community can support veterans and animal rescues by participating in an athletic fundraiser. Attendees can enter to join a one-mile walk with their pets. Animal owners can dress their pets in costumes for the occasion, who will later be judged in a costume competition. Prizes will be distributed to the contest winners. Events such as this can use Print shops to produce Flyers to hang on local bulletin boards.

The money raised at the walk will benefit Team Foster, a veteran-run organization. The locally owned animal rescuing group It’s a Ruff Life Rescue will also receive a portion of the funds earned at the event. A tribute to the attending veterans will be held before the walk begins. Guests attending the event can enjoy music and get meals from participating food trucks.

The Vets N Pets charity event will be held on November 3rd from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Anybody interested in registering for the walk can pay $15. Pets will only be allowed to participate if they are up to date with their vaccinations and are on a non-retractable leash. The event will be held in either rainy or sunny conditions.
