Hamilton to be home to new form of fitness

An ILoveKickboxing studio will be coming to Hamilton by the end of this month.

According to owner Stephen Van Saders, the focus of the studio will be to help people change their lifestyles through nutrition and fitness, using kickboxing as the means.

ILoveKickboxing is an international chain and can be found within existing companies that offer martial arts, or run as independent studios. It focuses on training techniques for professional fighters, yet also endeavors that its participants achieve attainable results in an enjoyable way.

Van Saders said that there have already been 300 trial memberships signed up, even though the studio is not yet opened. Those who sign up get their first three classes free of charge. During this time, individuals work alongside a personal trainer and then become part of the group classes.

When Van Saders was thinking about a town to which to bring an ILoveKickboxing studio, he immediately was drawn to Hamilton, as it has the potential to be a successful location. The studio itself is close to the train station and other main roads. In addition, as Van Saders predicts 80% of the people who sign up will be women and 20% men, Hamilton’s residential population being largely women was another draw.

Consequently, Van Saders may be using brochure printing companies to create promotional materials for the studio that will be more attractive to women than men.
