Hamilton museum to host family mediation session

This November, the Grounds for Sculpture museum in Hamilton is organizing a meditation activity for families.

The Family Meditation program is a wellness activity offered at Grounds for Sculpture’s outdoor park. During the workshop, participants will be guided through a heart-centered meditation session that will help people reduce stress, increase focus, and feel more relaxed. The lesson will incorporate vocal toning exercises and drumming to facilitate awareness and mindfulness. The course is designed for those aged five and older.

Katie O’Brien, an Inner Child and Meditation Teacher who also works as a wellness coach, will be the instructor for the meditation workshop. She initially became a certified practitioner in 2015 and assists her students with spiritual growth and maturity.

O’Brien works with clients of all ages and helps them with conditions such as low self-esteem, trauma, and pain management. Instructors like this may use business card printing to easily exchange information with potential clientele.

The meditation session will be held on November 15th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Those who are members of Grounds for Sculpture can pay $10 per adult and $5 per child. Those who are not members can still attend, though tickets will cost $25 for adults and $15 for kids. Park admission will be included with the ticket price.
