Hamilton Elks club to support homeless veterans

The Hamilton Elks will be hosting a networking event in February to raise money for local veterans in need.

Titled ‘3 Hours 2 Support 1 Homeless Veteran at a Time’, the fundraising activity is organized by BNI Greater Mercer where people can connect with others while benefiting a good cause. The profits from the event will help the NJ Elks Southwest District Veterans Committee provide furniture and kits to veterans transitioning into permanent places to live. The fundraising goal of the networking event is $7,500. Sponsorship packages are available for businesses that wish to support homeless veterans.

The New Jersey State Elks Association is a group that benefits the community by funding charitable projects. The organization contributes to student scholarships and financially supports Veterans Services volunteers. There are more than 100 Elks’ lodges throughout New Jersey, and over 40,000 people belong to the association. The group also has many programs, like Camp Moore and the Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Program.

The networking fundraiser will be on Wednesday, February 8 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets will cost guests $30 when purchased in advance and $40 at the door of the event. The available sponsorship packages for companies range between $300 and $1,000. Associations that hold charitable events similar to this may send Corporate Gifts to donors to thank them for their contributions.
