The Penn Medicine Princeton Health’s Center for Pelvic Wellness will be hosting a course in December at a local Hamilton venue.
Those interested in improving and maintaining their pelvic health can attend a class at the Community Wellness at the Hamilton Area YMCA. Self-Care for Pelvic Health is a lesson taught by Iram Fatima Shah, who is a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist. The course will be interactive and will teach beneficial self-care techniques that improve the condition of the pelvis, such as meditation, breathing, and exercise. Activities similar to this may use brochure printing to give their students a portable overview of the information covered.
The Center for Pelvic Wellness is a medical facility where people can go for services like pelvic floor physical therapy, comprehensive exams, and ultrasounds. Patients will be given a nurse navigator who can help with setting up appointments and conducting tests. Forms of treatment offered by the wellness center include pelvic support devices, medication, and surgical intervention. The facility also specializes in pelvic wellness for children.
The health class will take place on Thursday, December 2 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. All guests may attend the informational program for free, though they should register in advance. Those who want more details about the services offered at the Center for Pelvic Wellness can visit the group’s website.
