The Uptown Gentlefriends will be hosting a training run this September at Steinert High School in Hamilton.
The 5th Annual 12 Hour Track Attack is an athletic event that invites the public to train alongside the Uptown Gentlefriends. Participants can either run or walk along the track to complete laps, which will be totaled at the end of the activity. Last year, 60 participants managed to complete over 400 miles worth of laps on the track. The organizers will have cold drinks and snacks available during the training run.
The Uptown Gentlefriends is a social activity group that started in 2013 to bring all kinds of people together with free and fun activities that encourage fitness. The organization is made up of athletes with various specialties and disciplines. Group runs and workouts are hosted each week, though the organization also holds major events during the year like their five-run winter series. Athletic groups like this can bring Promotional Products such as water bottles to their events to spread brand awareness.
The training session will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. All ages are welcome to join the Uptown Gentlefriends on the track. The organizers will bring a canopy and some chairs for guests to use at the training run. A chalkboard will also be provided to help runners keep track of their lap count.
