A development for seniors in Hamilton is planning to add another building to one with 128 units that was completed last year.

Montage at Hamilton plans to add 51 units in the new building and then another 63 in a third building for a total of 242 units. The center is for people aged 55 and older, and takes the form of a condominium in which some of the units can be rented on a monthly basis.

There is a community clubhouse with a kitchen, a fitness center, a multi-purpose room, tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and walking paths. A variety of activities are held for residents, which in the past have included Sunday brunches, trips to Atlantic City, barbeques, and baking contests.

Although Hamilton Township is not very walkable, the property is located near places that are easily accessed by car, including the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 295, and Interstate 95. Hamilton Marketplace, the Quakerbridge Mall, Nassau Park, and the Mercer Mall are among the shopping centers nearby and the Township’s Veteran’s Park, which is 333 acres in size, has a tennis complex, lake, and walking paths through wooded areas.
