German discount grocery store chain Aldi has big plans for New Jersey.

Plans are underway to open four new stores in the Garden State by 2018. As it opens the new stores, Aldi will also end up hiring 250 new employees.

On the list of new stores is one in Hamilton, on Route 33. The Hamilton store will actually be one of the first of the new Aldi's to open its doors. Its opening is scheduled for November. Another store, in nearby Flemington, is also schedule to open next month.

To help find new employees, grocery stores can use postcard printing to spread the word to people living in the area. Aldi also planned on hosting a job fair at its existing stores, to find staff for the stores it already had up and running and for the soon-to-open locations.

Pay at the supermarket is above average, with store associates earning between $12 and $12.40 per hour to start and shift managers earning $16.25 to $16.65 per hour. Management trainees can expect to earn between $52,000 and $56,000 annually. When trainees are promoted to management positions, they can earn as much as $95,000 per year.

The other two planned Aldi stores should open early in 2018. Those locations will be in Old Bridge and Egg Harbor Township. While the location for the Egg Harbor store hasn't been revealed yet, the Old Bridge location will be on Route 9, near a closed Pathmark.
