August promises to be an activity-filled month, with residents of Hamilton Township putting their creativity to use with the announcement of the 2013 Township Calendar Photograph Contest as well as a Technology workshop series being hosted nearby in East Windsor.
Now that the 2013 Township Calendar Photograph Contest is underway and a theme entitled ‘Community of Neighborhoods’ has been chosen, members of the community are being called upon to express their creativity in showcasing their abilities as photographers. Interestingly enough, this artistic concept is a nod at the 1985 -1986 calendar. In much the same way as the original, the idea is to submit photos that reflect the sense of community that has been built up in different neighborhoods over the years.
While it is a foregone conclusion that printing companies will probably be tasked with the job of handling the demand and making Copies, it is all up to residents to show everyone what makes Hamilton such a fantastic place to live. With a deadline of October 1 and Forms available for downloading online, interested individuals will have all the tools they need to make the most out of this.
At the same time, the Mercer County Library’s Twin Rivers Branch is offering one-on-one technology info sessions this month. Whether navigating Facebook for the first time or getting the hang of that newly bought Amazon Kindle, this is the place to get all those technology-related questions answered. Being hosted nearby in East Windsor and with an apparent conclusion of roughly August 12, these workshops are only available by appointment.
