Ride + Reflect, a fitness studio in Bernardsville, has added a new Pilates program and so has expanded its capacity.
Ride + Reflect has been in Bernardsville for close to 12 years and is on Olcott Square. This Pilates program is a reformer class that was launched over six months ago and is taught by Yvette Lenhart. In addition to teaching Pilates, she has also taught Barre, Zumba and strength classes and has multiple certifications.
Unlike many Pilates facilities, Ride + Reflect is equipped with three reformer-tower combinations, jumpboards, a ladder barrel, a full Cadillac-reformer unit, chair, and a wide range of additional training apparatus. Lenhart said the reformer studio features a bright setting at street-level highlighted by floor-to-ceiling windows.
The reformer classes themselves have a maximum of four students per class so that each student gets special attention and has a more intimate experience. Private sessions lasting 50 minutes are also offered by Ride + Reflect.
Reformer classes are offered five days a week with three levels of classes. There is an introductory class for those new to this type of Pilates or for those who want to move at a slower pace. The standard class combines contemporary and classical Pilates while the Jump class is a low-impact, high-energy class that focuses on a full-body, aerobic workout.
