Whitewater Center celebrates its 10th anniversary this summer

Festival X is taking place next month at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. It will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Center.

The main event of the day will be a cornhole tournament which will begin at 3:00 pm. Cornhole is a game in which players throw beanbags at a platform with a hole on the end, where getting the bag in the hole is worth three points and landing on the surrounding platform earns a single point. It is up to teams to keep score and the winner is the team that reaches 21 first.

After the tournament, there will be live musical entertainment from The Wind and The Wave and one other band, food for purchase, and craft beers to enjoy.

In addition to the cornhole tournament, visitors can take part in the regular activities offered at the Center. These include rafting and kayaking, standing paddle boarding, zip lines, mountain biking and rock climbing, although there are extra fees for these activities.

To help advertise events such as these, Charlotte organizers sometimes invest in postcard printing services and distribute them to those on their Mailing list.

Festival X will be held at the US National Whitewater Center on August 13 beginning at 3:00 pm. For more information about the festival, call 704-391-3900.
