Museum to host a creepy night out

Adults in Charlotte can attend a night out filled with games and treats.

Charlotte’s Discovery Place will be hosting an adult-only event called ‘Science on the Rocks: Fright at the Museum’.

The event will feature creepy science experiments, tunes from various music stations, and a costume contest. Furthermore, brave attendees can take part in the ‘Fear Factor’ challenges. Guests can purchase drinks from the bar or try out the special menu at the Community Cafe.

This social occasion is an opportunity for the museum to drum up some more business. The event organizers might ask brochure printers to create leaflets containing information about the museum’s exhibits, programs, and prices.

The Discovery Place Museum features interactive exhibits, hands-on science experiments, and an IMAX theater. Along with adult-only nights out, the museum also has kid-friendly events. Guests can learn about everything from electricity to dinosaurs.

In order to attend, individuals must be 21 years of age or older and have identification with them. Admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased on the event’s website or by calling 704-372-6261, extension 300. Parking is not included. However, for a small fee, guests may park in the nearby Discovery Place Parking Deck.

It all takes place on October 17 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The museum can be found on 301 North Tryon Street.
