A golf tournament is coming to Charlotte next month, providing a setting for golf enthusiasts to display their skills while raising money for a good cause.
The 3rd Annual Zopen: Tee Off to Cure MS will begin in a few weeks, and interested parties are encouraged to dust off their golf clubs to play in a scramble tournament with other local players. The event was started to support the wife of the organizer, Zoë Abernathy, after her diagnosis of MS in 2021. The organizer, Brian Abernathy, uses the event to battle the disease and raise funds to research and combat it.
The 2023 iteration of the golf event raised over $12,000 for MS research. The event aims to bring in 100 golfers to compete to raise $25,000 in 2024. Banner printing is an effective way to welcome attendees and golfers to events like this.
The event's proceeds will go to the National MS Chapter—Greater Carolinas Chapter. Tickets include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and refreshments throughout the day at the golf course. Contests include the longest drive, as well as putting chipping contests.
The Providence Country Club will host the competition on Monday, July 22nd, beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 3:30 pm. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather. Tickets start at $300 per attendee and can be purchased online.
